ATLANTA, Ga., USA: The Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting, known as one of the nation’s leading dental meeting and comprehensive source of continuing education in dentistry, has announced its 2022 dates and an appearance by a high-profile entertainer.

The 109th annual meeting will take place March 17 to 19 (Thursday to Saturday) in person at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta. In addition, popular comedian Kathleen Madigan, a veteran of the Tonight Show, Letterman and “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” will be featured at the Keynote Session on Thursday at 5 p.m.

“We have missed gathering together in Atlanta, sharing valuable human connections and enriching our lives both professionally and personally. We’ve built an extraordinary program for Hinman 2022 with the theme ‘Navigating Dental Disruptions,’” said Dr. Kate Robinson, general chair for Hinman 2022. “We’re excited to reconnect and deliver Hinman’s special brand of hospitality at an incredible value. With more than 80 free courses and an expansive exhibit hall, Hinman 2022 promises to be a memorable and unique three days of learning, laughing and fellowship.”

“The keynote session will entertain attendees on Thursday evening and kick off the laughter,” added Robinson. Madigan has been entertaining audiences for more than 32 years. She has been touring 250 nights a year on the road and has risen from performing in comedy clubs to performing in marquee theaters with sold-out shows. She recently joined Jerry Seinfeld on his Netflix show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” and made the most of the pandemic by launching a podcast, “Madigan’s Pubcast,” on all streaming outlets.

This year’s theme, “Navigating Dental Disruptions,” doesn’t just address dentistry during a pandemic, but also navigating other disruptors, including transitions, scheduling, new technology and more. Hinman 2022 has a full slate of more than 245 educational lectures and workshops presented by more than 60 of the best and brightest in the dental profession.
