Georgia School of Orthodontics is named a Purple Heart School

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga., USA: National, state and local members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, veterans and Purple Heart recipients, and city officials of Sandy Springs, Ga. (a Purple Heart City) joined Georgia School of Orthodontics (GSO) at a ceremony on Nov. 7 at its Sandy Springs facility.

The event officially named GSO a Purple Heart School, as it provides complimentary orthodontic care to children of Purple Heart recipients. The ceremony honored veterans and Purple Heart recipients with a proclamation signing and raising of the Military Order of the Purple Heart flag.

The Georgia School of Orthodontics is an Advanced Specialty Education Program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics that offers a 36-month residency certificate program to residents at its campus in Atlanta. The mission of GSO is to educate qualified dentists to become specialists in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics with a commitment to excellence in patient-centered care, effective teaching, meaningful research and service to the community.
