Single-Use Aerosol Evacuator

MELVILLE, N.Y., USA: Henry Schein Inc. has announced the availability of the Henry Schein Brand Single-Use Aerosol Evacuator, a disposable device that attaches to any standard high-volume evacuation connection and allows for extraoral placement to reduce up to 90 percent of aerosols during aerosol generating procedures.

Part of a continued effort to bring innovative, cost-effective air management solutions to the dental practice, the Single-Use Aerosol Evacuator is available exclusively through Henry Schein, the company said.

The product permits hands-free suction of aerosols at the exit of the oral cavity, which delivers comfort for the patient and ease-of-use for the hygienist or dentist, the company said. This low-profile, single-piece device provides an unobstructed view of the procedure area, with a universal size and malleable wings that adjust to the patient’s mouth, the company said.

“We’re eager to bring the Single-Use Aerosol Evacuator to market because it exemplifies our continued commitment to provide unique, innovative products and solutions that prioritize the safety of the dental team,” said AJ Caffentzis, president, U.S. dental distribution. “Our customers can continue to rely on us to offer a variety of air management solutions to help foster a safe working environment for practice owners and their staff.”

The Single-Use Aerosol Evacuator is the latest aerosol management product featuring a Henry Schein Brand proprietary design, complemented by the Maxima Pro 2AR aerosol reducing handpiece, which was made available to dental professionals earlier this year, the company said.
