New Legacy 6mmL implants are short in length, long on stability

New Legacy™ 6mm length implants have been designed for greater surface area — offering 35 percent more than other well-known short implants on the market — for increased stability and load-bearing.

Available in six diameters (3.7, 4.2, 4.7, 5.2, 5.7 and 7.0mm) and two surfaces options (SBM or HA), these short implants joining the existing Legacy implant family for the widest range of dimensional options.

The Legacy System offers surgical and prosthetic compatibility with Zimmer Dental’s Tapered Screw-Vent, featuring the internal bevel/hex platform developed by Dr. Niznick in 1986 (US Pat. 4,960,381).

Color coding has been added to simplify implant identification, and each implant includes a cover screw and 2 mm healing collar. The Legacy implants have Implant Direct’s patented micro-threads for increased stability and double-lead threads for faster insertion.

The implants (Legacy1, Legacy2, Legacy3 and new Legacy4) differ in thread design, aggressiveness of their self-tapping features, packaging and diameter options. The new 6 mm length Legacy implants are offered for Legacy2, Legacy3 and the new Legacy4.
