Giomer materials withstand the test of time

A new, 13-year recall study by the University of Florida was recently published on the long-term performance of Shofu’s Beautifil composite and FL Bond. Both feature Shofu’s proprietary Giomer technology, an S-PRG filler formulated to release and recharge fluoride along with five other unique ions.

Variables evaluated included color match, marginal adaptation, anatomy, surface roughness, marginal staining, interfacial staining, proximal and occlusal contacts, secondary caries, post-operative sensitivity, and luster. The results support the clinical benefits associated with Giomer materials.
