OrthoFX, a leading innovator in clear aligners, is redefining the space with a broad selection of aligner systems made from proprietary polymers designed to deliver effortless compliance and predictability. With this new generation of aligner offerings, OrthoFX aims to help orthodontists differentiate their practice and elevate patient satisfaction.
“Although clear aligner treatments have been around for over two decades, there is ample evidence that shows predictability and patient compliance continue to be a problem for providers. We have worked closely with doctors to address these issues while also delivering solutions that better meet the needs of patients’ habits and practices,” says OrthoFX Co-founder Ren Menon.
The newest generation of clear aligner systems by OrthoFX:
- FXClear, previously branded as FXTetra: Custom-made aligners delivering predictable results. The stain-resistant material and smooth, scalloped edges allow for enhanced comfort and fit. Its advanced polymer technology exerts gentle, optimal forces and requires 20 to 22 hours of wear time per day, similar to the wear time requirements of leading aligner brands.
- FXBright: A brighter alternative! This translucent aligner gives teeth a naturally whiter and straighter appearance, without the use of whitening gels, from day one of treatment. FXBright also requires 20 to 22 hours of wear time per day.
- AirFlex, previously branded as NiTime: The first and only FDA-cleared aligner demonstrated to straighten teeth with at least 9 to 12 hours of continuous daily wear time*. This is 50 percent less wear time vs. the leading clear aligner brands.
AirFlex is designed to provide enhanced comfort, compliance and groundbreaking predictability. Featuring HyperElastic technology, AirFlex utilizes a proprietary multi-copolymer that sets it apart from leading aligner brands that rely on off-the-shelf materials. This advancement in material engineering improves aligner performance and delivers efficient orthodontic movements because the multi-copolymer, leveraging secondary transition, conforms precisely to the outer surface of the dentition. This exact fit ensures optimal adaptation, which prevents the aligner from unseating.
HyperElastic technology accommodates up to four weeks of tooth movement, conservatively reducing the risk of relapse from non-wear and minimizing the need for refinements.
