BioHorizons Tapered Pro Conical implant is the first dental implant with a deep conical connection in the BioHorizons portfolio. This new implant reflects BioHorizons’ dedication to developing innovative products that enhance clinical performance and workflow efficiency.
Tapered Pro Conical leverages the successful macro design of Tapered Pro implant with the proven and patented CONELOG connection to provide clinicians with a predictable solution for immediate treatment, from single tooth to full arch. It is designed to provide streamlined clinical performance with a best-in-class deep conical connection1.
Tapered Pro Conical's connection features a long conus designed to reduce micromovements and a 7.5 degree angulation that is proven to provide superior positional stability in comparison to other conical systems2. The 6-cam design of the deep conical connection allows for flexible abutment orientation options and direct-drive for simpler implant placement.
Furthermore, Tapered Pro Conical’s flat implant shoulder is designed to reduce vertical discrepancy by allowing restorative components to sit on the implant shoulder preserving the conical connection for final abutments.
Additionally, Tapered Pro Conical uses only two prosthetics platforms to improve restorative workflow efficiency and simplify inventory management.
The implant’s tapered body and aggressive thread design provide primary stability, and its end-cutting, self-tapping helical cutting flutes are designed for controlled implant placement even in the most challenging sites. With more than 30 years of research, Tapered Pro Conical is equipped with the unique Laser-Lok microchannels shown to create a connective tissue attachment and retain crestal bone, allowing better control of esthetic outcomes.
BioHorizons Tapered Pro Conical implants are compatible with the Pro Surgical kit and the Pro Freehand Surgical kit. The Pro surgical kit from BioHorizons offers predictability and flexibility in a single system. Because of its innovative and patent-pending Guide Adaptor tool, guided implant placement can be performed with control and precision following a keyless drilling protocol. The same set of length specific drills can also be used for freehand placement, offering flexibility for treatment planning and for surgery.
The Pro Freehand surgical kit is designed to offer efficiency and flexibility in a single freehand kit. With its compact size, the Freehand Surgical kit comes with a unique and patented parabolic drill design that provide the flexibility of placing implants with as little as two drills. Additionally, it allows the placement of regular length and short length implants.
