Improving restorative outcomes for endodontically treated teeth
The scientific evidence demonstrates that endodontically treated teeth fail more often due to restorative errors. In a live webinar, Alan Atlas, DMD, will cover the spectrum of treatment options for the optimal restoration of the compromised endodontically treated tooth.
“Save the tooth! Protocols to improve restorative outcomes for endodontically treated teeth” will be conducted on May 15 at 3 p.m. Eastern time. Online registration — available here — is free via the Dental Tribune Study Club site.
Participants will learn risk assessment principles necessary to determine the clinical requirements for successful tooth preservation. Step-by step protocols for post selection, post and core placement, and tooth preparation will be visualized with HD videos provided by a ZEISS EXTARO 300 dental microscope.
Innovative and profitable workflows will be introduced for integrating endodontic therapy with CAD/CAM systems that will minimize office visits and improve long-term outcomes.
Course objectives are as follows:
- Define restorative diagnostic risk assessment criteria for treatment planning tooth preservation versus removal.
- Understand the when, why and how strategies to simplify placement of posts and core materials.
- Review preparation protocol and crown material options for compromised endodontically treated teeth to avoid early fractures and failures.
- Implement innovative and reduced workflows for integrating endodontic therapy with chairside scanning and milling.
In order to register for the free webinar, you must be a member of the Dental Tribune Study Club website. If you don’t have an account yet, registration is completely free and it only takes a minute.
