ATLANTA, Ga., USA: The Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting is offering two unique Exhibit Hall experiences this year. Dental professionals are invited to visit Hinman’s Exhibit Hall in person or virtually, on Friday, March 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST) and Saturday, March 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (EST).

“While we couldn’t offer our typical Hinman Exhibit Hall experience with 400-plus companies, we are fortunate to be able to provide two scaled-back options for attendees to interact with their favorite vendors in the way that works best for them,” said Dr. Robert J. O’Donnell, general chair of Hinman 2021. “Everyone will have an opportunity to learn the latest developments in the industry, as well as take advantage of the many show specials that exhibitors are offering.”

The in-person exhibit hall

Hinman’s exhibit hall is located in the Grand Ballroom of the Omni Hotel and features approximately 70 booths. To allow for social distancing, attendees are asked to reserve a two-hour timeslot in advance of the meeting. Each timeslot will limit the attendance during that two-hour period to 200 people. Exhibitors are offering a number of show specials exclusively to Hinman 2021 attendees.

The Hinman Shop also is located in the Omni Hotel Exhibit Hall, Booth 420. As in previous years, the Hinman Trustees utilize the proceeds from the store for scholarships to support the future of dentistry.

The virtual exhibit hall

Hinman’s Virtual Exhibit Hall can be accessed from any device, from anywhere in the world. Registered attendees can log into the Virtual Exhibit Hall 24/7 on March 12 and 13 and have access to more than 100 virtual exhibitors. In addition, exhibitors will be available to chat online Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. EST.

Two product demonstration courses are being offered virtually this year. Seven companies will demonstrate the latest products and services, and attendees will be awarded an hour of C.E. in the process. These courses will be held:

  • Course VFr309: Friday, March 12, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. EST
  • Course VFr315: Friday, March 12, 3 to 4 p.m. EST

As part of Hinman’s attendee registration, everyone is automatically included in the online networking community, “Networking Powered by Grip,” allowing event participants to connect and schedule meetings. The information provided in the user profile will be visible to other meeting attendees and may be used in generating aggregate and anonymized usage statistics and analytics. Attendees can opt out and choose to not be included during the registration process. However, it is an opportunity to network virtually and make valuable connections.

The Hinman Tradition

The Hinman Dental Meeting is designed with a commitment to quality and professionalism and a high regard for the value of continuing education. The meeting is sponsored by the Hinman Dental Society, a non-profit organization, and excess revenue is invested and gifted in the form of individual scholarships to dental, hygiene and assisting students and in contributions to institutions that foster dental education.
