ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., USA: Dr. Charles Schlesinger, OCO Biomedical’s chief operating officer and director of clinical affairs, will be a featured presenter and clinical workshop instructor at the 2015 Southwest Dental Conference (SWDC), to be held on Thursday, Aug. 6, and Friday, Aug. 7, at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas.

Schlesinger, a recognized implantology speaker and award-winning clinical author, will present “The Reality of the Immediate Load” on Thursday, Aug. 6, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Learning objectives are:

  • Incorporating implants into practice.
  • Understanding how patients are influencing practice.
  • Understanding immediate-load technology.
  • Learning how the right implant can change the way implants are placed.
  • Making implantology the most predictable and profitable treatment practitioners can provide

Following Schlesinger’s Thursday morning course will be “Incorporating an Implant System,” a comprehensive, hands-on workshop, to be held from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Learning objectives are:

  • Learning basic implantology protocols.
  • Identifying and placing multiple implants.
  • Mastering surgical protocols.
  • Preparing to implement an implant system into practice.

Both “The Reality of the Immediate Load” course and “Incorporating an Implant System” workshop are AGD-Pace accredited.

Also, as a returning annual conference exhibitor, OCO Biomedical will showcase its Guided Surgery Kit, which features the two-step Guided Surgery System. This exclusive and proprietary addition to the company’s already extensive product line continues to receive overwhelmingly positive response in both the domestic and international marketplaces.

The company reports that the increased sales and booth traffic during 2015 trade shows including, the International Dental Show (IDS) in Cologne, Germany, The Dental Show in Birmingham, UK, and most recently, the successful OCO Biomedical International Dental Implant Symposium held in Albuquerque, N.M., is conclusive evidence of the interest in, and demand for, this new break-through product.

OCO Biomedical Representatives will be on site at Booth No. 914 to demonstrate the Guided Surgery Kit and System. OCO will also highlight an expanded line of regenerative solutions, which contain allograft, xenograft and alloplastic materials. Along with the expansion in grafting materials, the new line includes a wide variety of collagen, ptfe and allograft products. Special SWDC attendee discounts will be available.

“OCO Biomedical is unique in that we create products, technology and training designed and tested by dentists for dentists,” Schlesinger said. “Based on hundreds of surveys received from attendees at our state-of-the-art, nationwide implantology courses, which we present as The Complete Dental Implant Solutions Approach, are being met with phenomenal success as is our Guided Surgery Kit and System.”

“During my lecture and workshop, attendees will have the advantage of learning, and immediately incorporating into practice, the latest tools, technology and protocols that we have found to dramatically improve patient care and build successful practice performance,” Schlesinger said.
