MELVILLE, N.Y., US: Henry Schein has announced the expansion of its agreement with Swiss company vVARDIS, granting the company exclusive US distribution rights for Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus across all dental market segments, effective 1 January 2026.
Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus is a proprietary, noninvasive treatment for early-stage carious lesions. These lesions are often left untreated, increasing the risk of disease progression and contributing to physical discomfort, psychological burden and potential impacts on overall health.
The new agreement broadens Henry Schein’s previous exclusivity with vVARDIS, announced in 2024 for dental support organisations (DSOs). From next year, the distribution rights will extend nationwide to general dentistry, orthodontics and paediatric dentistry, in addition to DSOs.
“We are pleased to build upon our existing relationship with vVARDIS, the company behind a product that has seen remarkable success and growth in the dental industry,” said Stanley M. Bergman, chairman of the board and CEO of Henry Schein, in a press release. “This expansion is a testament to our shared commitment of helping dental professionals operate more efficient practices, all while advancing the oral and overall health of their communities.”
Drs Haleh and Golnar Abivardi, founders and co-CEOs of vVARDIS, highlighted the momentum behind the collaboration. “Our decision to broaden the relationship with Henry Schein was driven by the exceptional success we have already achieved, having accessed over 10% of US dental offices and having treated more than 500,000 patients,” they said. “The foundation of trust, shared goals, and delivered growth made it clear that Henry Schein is the right partner to make Curodont accessible to the entire US dental community.”
Henry Schein is currently the market leader in sales of Curodont Repair Fluoride Plus to general practitioners and DSOs in the US. The company also serves as the exclusive distributor of the product in the UK and holds non-exclusive distribution rights in other regions.
