It just keeps getting better, and that’s true as the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session continues at The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The exhibit hall features more than 350 companies, there are dozens of displays featuring the latest orthodontic technology, a multitude of learning opportunities abound, and you have the chance to meet and mingle with orthodontists and medical professionals from across the world.

For those looking to earn C.E. credit, the annual meeting has you covered. You can earn up to 15.5 credits at this year’s event. And there is a wide array of topics for you to choose from.

Dr. Ravinda Nanda BDS, MDS, PhD, will be discussing how to improve aligner efficacy with biomechanics. These aligners can be directly printed without the need for creating thermoformed models and they fit precisely due to their shape memory properties. Attendees can earn 1 C.E. hour for attending.

Dr. Mithran Goonewardene, BDS MMSc, will be the host of a discussion on the “Accuracy of Surgical Orthodontics: A Timeline of Recent Developments.” Dr. Goonewardene will present an update of contemporary methods currently used to accurately reposition the jaws to the desired positions. He’ll also discuss the implications that these procedures have on the surgery first technique. Attendees can earn 0.5 C.E. credits.

Join Jay and Jennifer Garvey as they show you “Keys to Compliance: Engaging Kids & their Families in Treatment Success”. As part of this workshop, attendees will learn how to increase their skills and knowledge when working with children and their families as well as how to directly impact your practice by reducing costs, generating additional revenue, and creating more pleasant working conditions for you and your staff. Attendees can earn .5 C.E.

Attendees looking for specialized approaches to orthodontics have five different paths to choose from. As part of this year’s event, you can Create Your Experience and learn new approaches, freshen your skills and be the first to know about advances in clinical subject matters.

For those looking to break into the field of orthodontics, there will be a career fair Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. It is open to doctors, residents and orthodontic staff and is complementary with registration.

Check out all that the exhibit hall has to offer. The latest technology will be on display as well as representatives to give you a hands-on demonstration. The exhibit hall is open from 9 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.

And don’t forget to download the live exhibit hall map and learn about the latest technology changes in the field of orthodontics directly from the companies.
