Abstract: This case report aims to present a clinical case in which periapical surgery with root-end filling was performed with the use of new bioceramic-based sealers. The ease handle of these materials was verified as well as a fast bone repair in a short period. It was concluded, and, if the results are maintained in the long term, these sealers may be the first choice for these clinical procedures.

Fort Collins, CO — Waterpik, the No. 1 water flosser brand, recently evaluated the efficacy of a water flosser in addition to an oscillating power toothbrush in a four-week randomized controlled clinical trial. The study found that while brushing with an oscillating power brush alone did improve oral health, the addition of the water flosser provided significantly superior results for people with mild to moderate gingivitis.

The same approach of putting patients first in dentofacial treatment is no exception. Individualized care is no easy feat and requires a combination of factors: understanding patients’ goals and expectations, treatment planning, utilizing up-to-date instruments and tools and an open and positive relationship between health-care providers (i.e., orthodontists) and patients.
