SCHAAN, Liechtenstein: The Ivoclar Vivadent International Expert Symposium (IES) online event starts on Monday, 25 May, and will run until Friday, 29 May. Dr Jean-Pierre Attal from the University of Paris will host the IES, and experts will present cases from their practices. Dental professionals can participate in this continuing education (CE) event free of charge, obtain CE credits after each lecture and ask questions during the live panel discussions.

Each day’s lectures will have an overarching theme from the dental world. The topics covered will include digital dentistry, aesthetics and efficiency, workflows, and new technologies.

“Succeeding together in tomorrow’s dentistry”

The theme of the symposium is more current than ever. It best describes Ivoclar Vivadent’s approach of working together with dentists and dental technicians in order to shape a common future in direct and indirect restorative dentistry, using analogue and digital methods both in the laboratory and chairside.

Monday, the first day of the five-day event, will be dedicated to digital dentistry. Prof. Irena Sailer and master dental technician Vincent Fehmer from the University of Geneva will address the opportunities of “Today’s technologies in tomorrow’s dentistry”. Prof. Petra Gierthmühlen from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf will share insights into emerging technologies for chairside dentistry in her lecture, titled “Digital chairside: Myths and reality”. Participants will also benefit from the in-depth on-demand webinars that will become available directly after the respective live sessions.

Ivoclar Vivadent looks forward to welcoming you to the exciting week of the first online IES, during which we will all be able to work and learn together. A positive mindset, good communication and valuable collaboration will help us overcome the challenges of closed practices and uprooted routines in order to continue to restore confidence and beauty to smiles all over the world.

Registration for the event is still open at www.ivoclarvivadentacademy.com/ies.
