MIH: And now? – Practical conclusions on the evolution, frequency and treatment of MIH

Based on the webinars that have already taken place, the background, diagnosis and epidemiology of Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation (MIH) are considered in a brief and critical manner. In addition, non-invasive and invasive treatments are presented, for the latter cavity preparation and restorative techniques are discussed.

Based on the webinars that have already taken place, the background, diagnosis and epidemiology of Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation (MIH) are considered in a brief and critical manner. The various theories, which should always be discussed with the parents, are discussed. The frequency of mild and severe MIH is shown. The relevance of early diagnosis is highlighted. Finally, non-invasive and invasive treatments are presented, for the latter cavity preparation and restorative techniques are discussed as well as possibilities for indirect restoration are addressed.
