IRVINE, Calif., USA: BIOLASE Inc. recently unveiled the BIOLASE Learning Center, a state-of-the-art learning facility designed to provide a comprehensive laser training experience for dental professionals. It houses a main lecture hall that seats more than 50, a fully equipped, hands-on laser lab featuring the company’s latest best-in-class laser solutions, as well as group meeting rooms, a business center for guests, and a kitchen/café.
The new learning center — a 4,587-square-foot facility — will allow BIOLASE to offer more laser training courses on-site at its headquarters in Irvine.
The Hands-On Laser Lab features a WaterLase iPlus all-tissue laser and EPIC X diode laser at each station, along with the capability for live video demonstrations with the built-in monitors at each station.
“A key part of our go-forward strategy in the transformation of BIOLASE is to offer in-depth training and support for our customers to ensure they fully understand how our systems can improve patient outcomes and help them achieve their patient and business goals,” said President and CEO Harold C. Flynn Jr. “Our new learning center creates an environment that supports the educational needs of the dental community, by developing high-valued educational offerings that promote life-long learning and provides our customers with the tools and skills to provide better dentistry for their patients. With the launch of the BIOLASE Learning Center, we have raised the bar for our customers and affiliated institutions, such as the World Clinical Laser Institute and regional dental schools that require laser education capabilities beyond what their university can provide.”
There are more than 20 laser courses planned to take place at the BIOLASE Learning Center this year.
More information about the World Clinical Laser Institute and its course offerings is available online at www.learnlasers.com, or via e-mail: info@wcli.org.
